
Biografija ukratko:
Vladimir Simić rođen je 27.10.1961. godine u Beogradu. Na Rudarsko-geološkom fakultetu Univerziteta u Beogradu diplomirao je 1987. godine na Smeru za Istraživanje ležišta mineralnih sirovina. Nakon diplomiranja radio je u Rudarskom Institutu iz Zemuna na računarskoj obradi i modeliranju ležišta mineralnih sirovina. U periodu 1988-1990. godine je bio u stalnom radnom odnosu u GEOZAVODU iz Beograda, Grupa za nemetale, gde je radio na istraživanju različitih nemetaličnih mineralnih sirovina. Od 1990. godine nalazi se u stalnom radnom odnosu na Rudarsko-geološkom fakultetu Univerziteta u Beogradu.
Magistarski rad ovom „MINERAGENIJA VATROSTALNO-KERAMIČKIH GLINA ARANĐELOVAČKOG TERCIJARNOG BASENA“ odbranio je na istom fakultetu 1992., a doktorsku disertaciju „PROGNOZNA OCENA RESURSA KAOLINITSKIH GLINA U SEDIMENTNIM BASENIMA SRBIJE“ odbranio je 2004. godine. Za docenta je izabran 2005., za vanrednog profesora 2010., a za redovnog profesora 2015. godine.
Dr Vladimir Simić je bio učesnik na realizaciji 5 naučnih projekata koji su tretirali problematiku mineragenije i prognozne ocene nemetaličnih mineralnih resursa i fosilnih goriva, kao i više desetina stručnih studija, projekata, izveštaja i elaborata iz navedene problematike. Vladimir Simić bio je rukovodilac srpskog tima u šest međunarodnih projekata. Član je: Srpskog geološkog društva; Srpskog gemološkog društva GEMS (predsednik društva); Zeolitskog društva Srbije (predsednik upravnog odbora); Međunarodne asocijacije za prirodne zeolite – International Natural Zeolite Association (INZA) i Međunarodne asocijacije sedimentologa – International Association of Sedimentologists.
